So stupid AF is planning mind games with me. I've been spotting since monday, but its still not full blown AF. Starting yesterday, I've had bright red spotting, which ruled out any change in my mind that I am KU so now I am just waiting. Its very odd for me because I usually have a very heavy AF, so I really have no idea what's going on. Annoying. I'm just keeping my mind focused on July 27th which is when I go in for my annual, and am hoping I can get a game plan together. For those of you who have undergone testing and/or treatment, did you stay with your OB if they offered IF treatments, or did you head straight to a RE?
Weigh In Week 6
Previous Weight: 160.2
Current Weight: 158.8
Lost this Week: 1.4
Total Lost: 6.2
Confession: I usually weigh in on Tuesdays, but I refused to report my weight yesterday because I ate chinese Monday night and was all bloated from the MSG (160.6). I weighed this morning again, and I was back to my non-bloated self. So yay for a loss!!

Sorry about AF. She is such a PITA. I would go to an RE - they are the experts in getting people PG, afterall.
Id go to an RE. I stayed with my OB for too long and honestly, she didnt know really how to handle my testing or develop a plan to get me pregnant. Plus, if you have to go any further than intial testing (like an IUI, for example) an RE will need to handle that.
Good job on your continued weight loss, you rock!
I got most of my testing (HSG, ect.) done with my OB but now we are at an RE. I just feel like the RE is more knowledgable when it somes to IF b/c that's there specialty. Good Luck!!
my ob gave me the option to do the testing with her (hsg, blood, etc.), but in the end i decided to go to an RE. i love my ob, but that isn't her specialty. i wanted to go to someone whose entire job was to knock me up. also it's a different environment at an RE's office, at least at mine. my ob's office is covered in pg women and babies and the staff is all about the pg women. i felt out of place there.
Yay for a loss!
Oh and I don't even have an OB, so I went right to an RE wen it was time. Good luck!
Good job on the loss! You broke the 160's, which is awesome!
I'm still with an OB, which I won't say MY OB because technically he's just the one in the practice that deals with infertility. There are not any RE's in my area, which is so strange to me because it's not that small here. So I plan on sticking with this doc because he does IUIs. Who knows what I'll do after that. If you have the option though, I'd go to an RE. I certainly would be there now if I could.
It sounds like everyone says the same about going to an RE and you know how I feel about specialists. OB's are great but they deal with a plethera of other issues outside of PG. I can't help being hopeful with AF being light...
Good job on the weight loss. It feel so good when you see that. GL at your appt on July 27. I don't have any advice about the RE but I'll be thinking of you. Hopefully your dr can give you some good advice about it.
