One of the great things about being a mom of multiples is the communities you become a part of with other moms in similar situations. In one of these communities I belong to, there is a mom of sweet twin girls, just five months old, that we’ve all gotten to know. These beautiful little girls, Sydney and Carynne, have sadly been diagnosed with a disease for which there is no cure, Werdnig-Hoffman disease. Sadly, these sweet babies have the most severe form of it.

So we have started a collection for this family, so that Mom can spend more time with her girls, for the all-too-brief time they have left. Medical bills will be high, and we want to help with that too. So please make a donation if you can. If all of my readers donated just $1, it would be a huge help. I know times are tough for us, but nothing is tougher than what this family is going through.

Boo...

So bad news on my OV Watch. She sent it to an old address of mine in MD which must have been left over in my ebay account from when I was buying stuff for my wedding. I called the apt complex where it was mailed and they don't have it. They said if they had received it they would have sent it back. So now its lost in some far off galaxy. I'm going to give it a few days and hope it turns up back at the seller's house. So sad.

Oh, and I have class all weekend. double boo.

What a weekend!

My mother and I hosted an engagement party for one of my best friends over the weekend, it was such a blast. It was really cold Friday night so we go nervous that it might be too cold to have part of the party outside, but luckily it warmed up a bit on Saturday night so the tent and heaters totally did the trick!

I had off on Monday , so I went and helped my older sister register! It was such a blast and made me wish I could do it all over again!! I love my china and crystal, but would seriously love to be able to get a few more sets b/c there are so many out there I love!! My sister picked out some great stuff and I really hope she gets it all!

I haven't gotten my OV watch yet in the mail, but will update you all as soon as I do!

So I must admit, thanks to ebay, I am now the proud owner of a OV Watch!

I am totally excited to see if it works, and am just pumped to get to start TTC again now that I have this nifty gadget! I never had an abundance of CM, so I'm hoping this will help our timing. If you want more info on the OV watch check out their website: http://www.ovwatch.com/

U/S results in

So I finally made it in for my ultrasound related to my pain on my right ovary around New Years. I got the results yesterday, and good news is everything looked good. They said they saw no abnormalities, and everything was the right size so that's good to know! They recommended I follow up with my GP to see if the pain is related to something in my digestive track. So I guess i'll head down that route! I also have my appt this week for my coagulation study where they will hopefully figure out why I have such a bad problem with bruising!

I started AF, which means I am 1 cycle closer to being able to TTC again! Yay! I think I am going to wait until my cycle which starts in march to start TTC again, so I probably have at least 2 more cycles before we're ready. I had a super short cycle this month (25 days) so it will be interesting to if this continues as a trend. I'm not charting so who knows if it was a short LP or if I really O'd that early, but for now it doesn't matter!

On totally unrelated news, I started school last night! The 5 week break was really nice, but I still was no where near ready to go back! ugh! Good news is this semester I'm back to having class only 2 nights a week which should much better than last semester. I'm still taking a 3rd class but I am doing it as an intensive where we meet over 3 weekends. It should be good!

Hope everyone is staying warm. We actually had freeze warnings here today which means it must be REALLY cold up north!

Living room redo...

So we finally re-did our living room, and I wanted to show off the finished product!!

It definitely feels a lot more open with the furniture re-arranged, and I love having the pub table in the living space. I'm really happy with the way it turned out!

So Sad...

So one of my BFs from college announced over Christmas that she was PG. When she told me, she said she knew the day she conceived was at the end of October because he husband was deployed shortly after that. However she said when she went in for her ultra sound right before Christmas they told her she was measuring at 5W. It didn't make sense to me since at that point she should have almost been 9-10W based on her conception date. I didn't say anything because i didn't want to scare her, but I had a feeling something wasn't right. Well I got a text yesterday that she had started bleeding and went in for a U/S and the baby was still measuring at 5Ws. The Drs said she was definitely miscarrying. She's going in for a D&C today. So sad. Keep her in your prayers, please.
