I am sooooo annoyed. I ordered my crib and dresser in September, at the time it was supposed to ship late October. October rolls around and I get a post card from them stating the furniture has been back-ordered until end of December. I call freaking out and they promise me we'll get it at the end of December. After calling in early December to check on the order, they decided to split the order since the dresser was in stock. So the dresser is here. I called today because I still hadn't gotten a shipment notice on the crib and they tell me now its back-ordered until the end of FEBUARY!!! I am so angry I could scream!!!
Of course the agent couldn't tell me anything other than I am at the top of the list and definitely should get one from the next batch. Which is of course what I heard about the December delivery. So now with 5 weeks to go I have to figure out what the hell I'm going to do!!! Grrrrr.
I can return the dresser and find a new set for the room. But with 5 weeks to go, how likely is it that I can really get something good in that short amount of time. Or I can just suck it up and wait for the crib hoping it comes in during February/March. I have a bassinet that I can use for her to sleep in before the crib gets here, but I am just worried she won't like it and we won't have a back up option.
I swear I am so mad I could SCREAM!!!

Ugh - I am mad just reading this so I cannot imagine how upset you are.
I will say that Kate has yet to sleep in her crib. It is so much eaiser, IMO, to keep them right next to your bed at first. They wake so often and it is just easier to stay in bed for feedings and to change them.
That is really annoying. Baby Room on Causeway had our crib in stock if you're open to iron...I know you didn't like the super heavy ones, but I love our Bratt Decor crib. There are also a few baby stores across the lake if you want to get adventurous...I'd be furious.
That is total b.s.
I can't believe they're screwing you over like this! I hope it all gets worked out ASAP - you don't need this stress because you're about to have a baby!!!! Yay!!!!
IMO at this point the crib should be free. This is ridiculous!
