4th U/S - 8w2d

I went this morning for what should have been my last RE appointment. He had hoped to release me today, but since my OBGYN can not see me until July 19th, he is going to keep me two more weeks. Everything looks perfect and appears to be on track. The heart beat continues to get stronger and was at 166 bpm this morning! I'm so frickin excited. To be honest for the last 4+ weeks, I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop, but I am finally starting to feel confident that this pregnancy is going to be a successful one.

As for me, I'm feeling ok. I'm not nearly as tired as I was in the beginning. It's nice not to go straight home and take a nap. I am still going to bed by 9pm, but let's be honest, my pre-pregnancy bedtime was probably 9:30 or 10:00 so its not like its really that bad. The sad thing is that I am missing The Daily Show every night. I swear I haven't seen it once since I got my BFP. Staying up until 10pm is way out of my reach!

I am quite nauseous most of the time, but am trying to combat it naturally gingersnaps and ginger-ale. It seems to be working for the most part, but I did get a Zofran prescription at the appointment today just in case it becomes too much.

I've created a new page which can be found on the left hand side of my blog called Baby Bump Pictures. It will contain an obnoxious amount of pictures of my stomach, and an obnoxious amount of tickers so enter at your own risk. I figured I'd keep all that stuff off the main page just in case anyone still in the IF trenches chooses to follow me on my pregnancy journey.  When I actually have a bump, I will post the occasional picture on the main page.

3rd U/S - 7w2d

So I am posting this WAY late, but I wanted make sure to post my ultrasound from last Wednesday. I'm so late posting it because I was SUPER busy last week because I left Thursday for Jackson Hole, WY. A girlfriend of mine got married out there, and I was lucky enough to be able to go! Here's a few picts from the wedding. I hope to do a longer post about the wedding soon, but I have 1000 emails to sort through at work!

It was absolutely gorgeous!

2nd Ultrasound - 6w2d

We went back in today for ultrasound #2 while the RE was in the office. We got to see the heart beat! It was totally surreal. My husband has been really hesitant about getting excited, but he was grinning ear to ear when he saw the heartbeat! It was at 114 BPM which the doctor said was right on track for the baby's age.

I am going back next Wednesday and the following Wednesday for more ultrasounds. As long as everything looks good the doctor should release me to my OBGYN at 8w2d.

1st Ultrasound - 5w4d

We had a great ultrasound on Friday morning. We got to see our baby for the first time. Its not exactly a baby at this point, since its actually just a gestational sac with a yolk sac, but never the less it was really exciting for us! We go back wednesday morning to look for the heartbeat. I'll be 6w2d.

A welcome surprise!

Yesterday I came home to the wonderful surprise from my good friend Caroline. She and I met years ago when we were both planning our weddings on the knot.com. Even though we have never met, we have kept in touch long after we both said our I DOs.

They are from a fabulous confectioner in Chicago called Vosges. If you are looking for something sinfully good to eat, might I recommend you check them out. Everything we received was over the top good!

Thanks again Caroline!

Avenue Q

Last night DH and I saw Avenue Q. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I really enjoyed it. The interaction between the puppets and the people was a little weird at first, but after a few songs you barely even noticed. What I was so amazed at what was how so few people could play so many different characters. It was really interesting to watch. Check it out if you get a chance!

So sleepy

I'm frickin exhausted. I never realized you could wake up and 2 hours later be yawning again. I literally yawn from 9am until 9pm. But I'm taking it as a good sign. I hope it is. Friday seems like it may never get here. When the nurse called to schedule my U/S, I had a option between Thursday and Friday for my appointment. Now I am wishing I had chosen Thursday! I am so nervous. And excited. I really hope everything is ok.

I had another panic attack this morning. Yesterday I went to my weekly tennis lesson. I've been going for about a month now, so I figured it fell within the allowable activity set since I'd been doing it pre-pregnancy. It was a great lesson and I felt great while I was out there. When I stopped playing, I realized I had a decent amount of cramping in my uterus. I started worrying that I had pushed it to hard and maybe done something bad to the baby. I went to sleep thinking about it and dreamed I had miscarried. I woke up in a total panic. I hardly had any symptoms when I woke up which made me even more nervous. Luckily around 9am the sleepiness returned with a strong bout of nausea. It made me feel better (and worse at the same time :-).

T-65 hours until U/S. How will I ever make it until then?
