Birthday Weekend
I had a great birthday weekend! We spent Friday and Saturday at our country house which was really relaxing! On Saturday night we went out to dinner with my family for my birthday.
We had a ton of fun, and definitely enjoyed some great wine with dinner and then a little champagne with dessert! When we got home, my family decided to play American idol on Wii, which was hysterical because we are all completely tone deaf! It was a really fun night!
Sunday I went shopping with my sister at the outlet mall. Monday, my actual birthday, I actually had to come into work for a bit. But it was really productive because I was the only one in the office. After I was done catching up at work, DH and I went to see Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. The weather here was awful, so it was a great way to spend the afternoon. When we came out it had cleared up, so DH and I decided to grill out for my bday. All and all it was a great day! I hope everyone had a great long weekend!

14DPO
So I got a little over zealous and tested last night (at 13DPO), BFN. Then I convinced myself that maybe it was false because it wasn't FMU, so I test again this AM, BFN. My longest LP ever was 14 days, so I predict AF is around the corner. I don't temp after I confirm ovulation, so I don't know for sure, but its not looking good for this cycle. It makes me sad.
On the bright side DH's company got us tickets tonight to Royal Street Stroll which is part of the New Orleans Food and Wine Experience, happening this weekend. So I am going to drown my sorrows in some really good wine ;-)
We are headed to my family's country house to spend the weekend with my mom, her BF and my sister. On Saturday night we have reservations at a yummy restaurant to celebrate my birthday, which is actually Monday! It should be really fun. DH and I actually have to come home Sunday b/c he has to work Monday, but it should be a fun weekend.I hope everyone has a great memorial day weekend!

11DPO
No phantom symptoms to report. I should start AF tom, or Wednesday. I guess we'll see. If I make it to Thursday, I might actually test.
This weekend was wonderfully quite. Friday night I went over to a girl friends house for happy hour with the girls. All our husband met us on the later side of the evening and we got pizza delivered. It was a really fun time. Saturday we bummed around the house all day, and then had dinner over at my moms house Saturday night. Sunday I went to church with my papa, and then DH met us for brunch. Sunday afternoon we had a graduation party for one of our friends who just graduated law school. All in all, it was a great and relaxing weekend!
Hope everyone else had a great weekend too!

When will the madness end??
Well we managed to have another crazy weekend! I swear things never slow down around here. On Friday night, some family friends hosted an engagement party for my sister and her FI. It was a really nice party and everyone had a blast. I do feel really bad though because I forgot my camera, and literally no one took any pictures. I feel like a total MOH failure, but she didn't seem too upset so that made me feel better.
On Saturday we spent all day car shopping for a new car for DH. Last year we donated my old car to Bridge House, which is a local charity. Since then I have been driving our Jetta and DH has been driving my sister's car (she left it with us when she moved to NYC). DH just got a promotion to outside sales, where he will be on the road a lot more. My sister's car was old and need some serious work to be able to do the kind of driving he's in for, so we decided to get a new car. We looked at a ton of trucks, SUVs, and cars, and ended up getting a Toyota Venza. Its totally not what I thought he was going to pick (he's always been partial to trucks, and large SUVs), but he was lured in by the navigation system, push button start, and all the other cool feature that came with this car. What can I say, he is a sucker for technology! I'm really excited that he finally picked something, but I managed to get seriously sun burned walking around all the car lots so that was annoying.
We got home from car shopping at about 5:30, and I immediately had to hop in the shower. Saturday night I went out to eat with some girl friends and then we headed downtown to a graduation party for one of our girl friends. It was really great to be able to celebrate with her, but I as exhausted from a long day in the sun and was home by midnight.
Sunday we did mother's day dinner with my family. My sister and her FI hosted, which made it really easy for me and my DH. It was really fun to be able to spend sometime together with just the fam. All in all it was a great weekend!
On the TTC front, I believe I've ovulated. I forgot to wear my watch this cycle, but I've been trying to chart. Since I'm not in the habit of charting anymore I keep forgetting to temp in the morning, but based on what I've caught, I'm pretty sure I've ovulated. So on to the 2WW, which in my case is actually the 10 day wait. Got to love a short LP!

Cinco De Mayo
I hope you all have plans to enjoy your Cinco de Mayo! DH has a crawfish boil for work this evening, but I have recruited my sister to enjoy some mexican food and margarita's!
