Is it Mardi Gras Already?

Is it that time already?? Wow! 2009 is flying by.

Last weekend was wonderful. My best friend Julia came in town with her husband for Valentine's day. We had a wonderful weekend filled with good food and lots of fun! We had charbroiled oysters Friday night at Drago's which are amazing, and then Saturday night we did a fancy dinner at Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse. Both were super yummy. And since they are both located downtown, we were able to catch the parades. We spent Saturday during the day shopping and people watching in the french quarter, which was interesting as always since the mardi gras craziness had begun. Overall, the weekend was a total blast and I was super sad when she left on Sunday morning! I wish we lived closer to each other because we always have so much fun when we're together.

Tomorrow my younger sister arrives from NYC with a friend for mardi gras, and we have a full weekend planned! Tomorrow night we are heading over to a friend from works house to watch the parade. On Saturday, we'll watch the day parades with a friend of mine from high school and the evening parades with a friend of my sisters. Sunday is still up in the air, but needless to say its shaping up to be a fun mardi gras weekend! Hope you all have a great weekend!!

CD1.. YAY!

So today is CD 1. My cycle was really short again (25 days) which is odd, but I think when I start taking my PNVs and B6 again this month it should straighten out. This is the last cycle we are TTA so I am really looking forward to my next CD1! Looks like that cycle will probably start early march which would put our EED in Dec which would be great with my school schedule and would put me around 22 weeks at my sisters wedding. (I know you can't plan these things, but in my ideal-type-A-world this would be great). I am actually thinking I would like to try my March and April cycles, but if we don't get our BFP maybe take another break? My last semester of my MBA program is Mid-January through early May 2010, so I think I would prefer not to deliver then, since school will be crazy enough. On the other hand, if I did deliver then, all I would have is school and baby since I would be on leave from work. I don't know. I guess I'll just feel it out as we go. I've tried to talk it through with DH but all he can tell me is that he definitely doesn't want to another break. He's totally against it. I don't know what's gotten into him, but he is in full baby mode these days. Its a good thing because I know he going to be a great dad and its clear he's really excited, but I don't think he understand the physical demands a pregnancy will put on my body.

In other news, I made a breakthrough with my old apt complex regarding my lost package. I finally got someone on the phone, other than the girl I had been dealing with. The new lady talked to the UPS guy this morning and he was going to talk to his supervisor to see what to do. Hopefully something will come of this and I will get my OV watch before my next cycle begins. Otherwise I'm pretty sure I'm going to break down and buy another one... this time I'll just make sure e-bay has my right address! Or even better yet, I can buy AMG's when she gets her BFP this cycle ;-)

This weekend I am in my 2nd weekend of my negotiations intensive. 9-5 Saturday and Sunday... doesn't that sound like a blast?!? After this weekend we only have 1 more. 6 days of class for 3 credit hours, sounds like a deal to me! Now I just have to remind myself of that tomorrow when its gorgeous outside and I'm locked in a class room. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Ugh..

Looks like my OV watch is officially lost. The apt complex, which signed for it, now says they don't have it. I think they probably inadvertently gave it to the tenant in my old apt, and now don't know how to get it back. Its really frustrating b/c its basically $80 down the drain. I did file a claim with UPS so hopefully they can sort it out. But I don't have much hope.

This weekend was good. Friday night I went to Corkncanvas with 3 of my girls friends. We had a blast, and I walked away with a pretty cute painting if I do say so myself!

For those in the New Orleans area, I definitely recommend this as a fun girls night. I have zero artistic ability and was able to follow along pretty well. Each night there is a different painting, and I definitely think I will be going back!

Saturday I did homework all day and cleaned up the house some. I had dinner with DH Saturday evening at Dick&Jenny's which was great as always, although we did have a really long wait! Sunday we did the Superbowl party circuit, which was lots of fun. Then when we got home, we stayed up late to watch The Office, so now I am exhausted!

Hope everyone has a good week!

Can you help?

This is a C&P from another blog (a girl from my local board), please donate if you can:

One of the great things about being a mom of multiples is the communities you become a part of with other moms in similar situations. In one of these communities I belong to, there is a mom of sweet twin girls, just five months old, that we’ve all gotten to know. These beautiful little girls, Sydney and Carynne, have sadly been diagnosed with a disease for which there is no cure, Werdnig-Hoffman disease. Sadly, these sweet babies have the most severe form of it.

So we have started a collection for this family, so that Mom can spend more time with her girls, for the all-too-brief time they have left. Medical bills will be high, and we want to help with that too. So please make a donation if you can. If all of my readers donated just $1, it would be a huge help. I know times are tough for us, but nothing is tougher than what this family is going through.

If you can’t do it today, I have a link on the right side of the blog that you can use as well.

Boo...

So bad news on my OV Watch. She sent it to an old address of mine in MD which must have been left over in my ebay account from when I was buying stuff for my wedding. I called the apt complex where it was mailed and they don't have it. They said if they had received it they would have sent it back. So now its lost in some far off galaxy. I'm going to give it a few days and hope it turns up back at the seller's house. So sad.

Oh, and I have class all weekend. double boo.
